2012 Global 100

Corporate Knights named Danish pharmaceutical firm Novo Nordisk number one in its eighth annual Global 100 list of the most sustainable large corporations. In selecting the 2012 Global 100, Corporate Knights tapped into top sustainability research firms to identify the top 10 percent of 3,500 companies, then ranked these on 11 indicators representing various factors of sustainability: Energy productivity, carbon productivity, water productivity, waste productivity, leadership diversity, CEO-to-average worker pay, percent of tax paid, safety productivity, sustainability results linked to executive pay, innovation capacity and employee turnover.
